- Rob McVey Review added: 2017.12.13★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆A frosty welcome from a grumpy middle-aged man who had clearly had enough of Bakewell's thriving tourism. After muttering something about "no peppers" in a tone that suggested the lack of such ingredient was my own fault, I watched as this angry man assembled my granary bun, fresh out of its Tesco packaging, with a face like thunder. His scolding look as one of the children in our party said they wanted cucumbers as an "extra", suggested his belligerence towards people who dared go in to Relish and buy sandwiches had reached breaking point. Maybe time for a career change in the interests of not having to tolerate pesky, paying customers?
Although he never said thank you for our custom at any stage of the transaction, the sandwich was actually OK.
